We found this small Ronson ashtray over Christmas at Fleetwood to match the ashtray and lighter we already had.
We would love to see what other people aquired over the holiday.

| John, You have a very beautiful daughter who I am sure your very proud of, and rightly so. Was the video shot in Germany? I noticed the cars were left hand drive. Cheers, James. |

Hi James,
Mine stands 2.5ins high by 4.25ins diameter - it's the larger of the two. I have to say I'm not 100% that they were made by Whitefriars but it's possible.
Cheers,
Stan J

Hi Stan
Ray remembers seeing the bowls made at Whitefriars.
We are not sure who made the chrome inserts. He thinks they were made for Ronson but is not 100% sure as they also made stuff for Colibri and Parker. They do match the Ronson Lighter.
The large one is 105 mm diameter and 65mm high.
The small one is 80mm diameter and 50mm high

Don't get me wrong, I'm more than happy that my ashtray is Whitefriars. They must have been made in a different way to normal as the base of mine has an odd moulded appearance that at first glance looks like a polished pontil (but not highly polished) - what do yours look like Terry?
Cheers,
Stan J

| Does anyone have a idea as to what years that these ashtrays and the matching ruby lighter were made? Thank you. |

I have never been convinced these ashtrays were made at Whitefriars. I had a clear out a while back and got rid of 3 I literally could not 'give away' a ruby one, one crossed between twilight and cinnamon and a blue one. Is the general feeling these and the lighters were commissioned by Parker for gifts to employees as per the pen sets?
I suppose the ruby ashtray and lighter could have been a set but never seen them together in any other colour combination to support this?
The base finish too is a worry to me.
Until someone says they can remember making them or someone from Parker remembers receiving one or a work book entry comes to light I remain unconvinced. _________________ Cheers,
