Hi,
Not a brilliant image but does show the wonderful display. Terry will be able list the contributors who were kind enough to add to the collection shown here.
Regards,
Patrick.

Hi All,
Great display, interesting to see pieces I am not so familiar with and learn a little of their history, especially one particular item.
I did notice that there was not so very much Whitefriars glass for sale as there had been in previous years, although I did manage to buy a 6" Cinnamon Bark and an Indigo Hooped. Only saw one Bricklayer, a couple of Bamboos, a Basket Weave plus a few relatively common others. Anyone any ideas as to why? Is everyone holding out for sunnier days? |

Thank you Terry & Peggy for taking time out of your personal life to set up this fantastic display for the September 2011 Cambridge Glass Fair. I'm sure that many people work behind the scenes in preparation for this bi annual event and we appreciate their efforts, especially those of us who could not make the fair this year. Kind Regards, James & Charlene. |

Here's a few more photos from a very successful display. Guys, don't underestimate the appreciation shown by fair visitors. A number of people actually said ours was the best attraction of the whole fair which is one hell of a statement. Everyone who is part of this forums contributes in a small way so thanks to everyone

Hi all,
Terry and Peggy deserve a vote of thanks for stepping into the breach and organising the exhibition on this occasion. I have to say it was a pleasure (as always) to be able to add something to the W/F's dot com stand
Also, very good to see a topic, trailing, that embraced so many periods of Whitefriars fabulous production and design

Hi Nigel,
Your Harry Powell decanter with the pulled up threads, trailing and silver stopper was just so incredibly rare and beautiful. I know it is one of your treasured pieces in your personal collection and it was great that you loaned it to us on the day.
Regards,

Great pics everyone.
I'm not surprised it's a struggle to find a pattern number for my tall waisted vase. I'm not convinced it was ever catalogued.
Must be rare
Cheers

Nigel,
If you can find me one that doesn't have a break in the trailing I'll be interested (and surprised)
Cheers (from sunny New Zealand - just arrived after 24 hrs in a 747 !! ) |

Steve,
Glad that you arrived safe and sound if a little jaded
I did have a perfect one with green threading, and a silver stopper at Cambridge about eighteen months ago (sold), but I'll re-doubled my efforts

Sadly I missed the one that came up at auction a couple of weeks ago. That too had broken trailing and no stopper and an estimate of £150 - £250. The final selling price........
£100
For that price, who wouldn't |
