Hello,
Here are some photos of the cabinets - poor quality shots but you get the idea. It was great to see some of you there, and a privilege to chat with ex-workers who are always happy to share their knowledge.
WEALDSTONE RANGE for WUIDART

1931 Catalogue

1464 Suite in Golden Amber

Roman Cut

Goblets/Vases

Lovely to see a full set of M54 Govette decanters (or did they make one in Sapphire)!
Cheers,
Stan

Hi Stan
You did well to get those pictures. Its very hard to photograph in those cabinets. I forgot to bring my camera this time, but last time i had to use manual focus to focus on the vase and not the cabinet glass door which auto focus detects.

Thanks Julian, I'm not happy with them but with the spot lighting in the cabinets the only option is to use flash and focus manually as you say.
I hope Patrick's camera is on the mend after his unfortunate accident!
Cheers,
Stan

What was the verdict on the colour of the Yellow Banjo being assessed by Brian and Ray in the first photos?

Hi Emmi,
Well Ray has seen it and confirms it is a yellow colour possibly made with a thin galler of yellow paperweight enamel.
Brian thinks it could be a Skittle colour as used in the stained glass department but also that it might be a rogue mix of tangerine.

Regards,
Patrick

Hi Stan,
Great pictures...................
I went to Stoke on Trent yesterday with my camera to have it fixed. Left it with them and would you believe I have just had a call that I can now collect it.
Cost.............. ZERO.
Now that's a result.

Regards,
Patrick. Smile Smile Smile

Some great photos there - a good record of the day Very Happy

Great to see such a representation collection of the Wealdstone pieces and some unusual colours as well.

I think young Terry is hiding his light under the proverbial bushel! Without him linking everyone up and gently nudging them to bring their pieces, there wouldn't have had an exhibiton, so:

A BIG THANK YOU TO TERRY Very Happy Very Happy

Nigel
