See Evans p261 plate374 catalogue 1870 for similar design. Powell seems to have used and simply varied an existing design. Original glass pattern no.2092

The diamond moulding follows a 17th century manipulation skill called "nipt diamond waies".Typically a Harry Powell adaption.The whole form,bowl,stem and foot follows 17th century venetian styles.

There is one in sky blue in the Lesley Jackson book, I have never seen one in flint, and yes they used real gold foil to create that effect.
