Possibly engraved by Edward John Hillebauer for Whitefriars. Hillebauer is recorded as occupying 5 Whitefriars Street around 1885. His commissions for Powell?s may have left a wealth of engraved Whitefriars glass which has yet to be authenticated due to the lack of information about him to date. Certain pieces have been authenticated however which depict birds on the same shape as this wine depicting peacock feathers. Thank you Webmaster for bringing this glass to my attention.
