please help been an eternity trying to work out what this is, golden amber in colour, 16cms tall great controlled bubbles, round base (looks like a pumpkin) with fanned top ribbed which get larger to the base very heavy good quality glass

it all swings in round-abouts, to whatever is the flavour of the month really. its heartbreaking when you have a stunning piece and it just doesnt go all that well, had it happen tons of times.
i may hold onto it for a while as im sure it will come round again soon, glass seems to be the only thing which is holding onto value at the moment within collectors
John Phillip Hobbs11/03/08 Hi Johnathan,Itlian glass is having a hard time on ebay right now i put one like yours on but in cranberry and clear a few months ago and it didnt sell the colour was stunning.

thanks so much for that john, i was around 95% sure it wasnt whitefriars but thought all you experts out there would be able to give me an ID on it. think i may pop it on ebay and see how it goes

You have a nice Alfredo Barbini vase Italian 1960s probably sommerso glass, hard to see from a photo.
