Completely agree. The ribbon-trailed pices are affordable, available, and still attractive. The ruby pieces tend to grab the limelight though, so should be used sparingly

Sorry I should have said, I was refering to ribbon trailed pieces, especially 2 colour ribbon trailed! However who can predict fashion!

I agree that the amber pieces are affordable, but I'm not sure that amber has ever come back into 'fashion' after its initial popularity in the 30's
