I have just started collecting Whitefriars. Using this site for 10 minutes just found out 1 piece is phoney - "Royal Castle". i have a deep green coffin vase that doesn't get a mention here. Is this what is called "Aqua"

I have recently started collecting WF glass - after having my eye on items like this for a while. I recently bought a tangerine Coffin Vase... Is this a good place to start?

Lilac is the rarest coffin followed by sage and then aqua. Lilac is rare. I recall seeing 3 on ebay in 2 years - they can fetch up to 200 quid. I bought the last one which was mis-described!! Allegedly there is a sky blue coffin - this would have been made in 1980 but one has yet to turn up. Given Mike Cribbs comment that he used to turn out 300 coffins a shift then I am sceptical as to their existence - surely one would have materialised by now!!

For the Attention of Mike Cripps! Hi Mike, could you tell me how the coffin vases not encased in clear glass, but in the same colour although "watered down" of the inner colour, came about? One offs? You guys playing around bored at work? I don't mean the FLC coffins. Regards, Joe
