Controversial set in red opal. If the glasses at Manchester exhibition were Whitefriars, so are these. They have a white blob at the base of the stem. pat 1464

I had a debate with Lesley Jackson about these glasses, she thought they were continental, but that white blob where the base meets the foot is unique, I bought them in Australia, where they had a real taste for red glass.
